She will be back in Fort Lauderdale from her summer home dock in Massachusetts, for preview and with the right deal on the table, sea-trial, in advance of the upcoming 2017/2018 Holiday Season. Performance with her new 2017 MERCURY Verado 350 engines speaks for itself, modified and advanced to run on 87-89 octane regular fuel for full 350hp per engine performance, this boat is the single best INTREPID 377 in the world.

Fast and expensive, the INTREPID 377 WA is a semi-custom rocket whose sleek profile and advanced construction set her apart from the more conventional walkaround models of lesser builders. The versatile deck plan of the 377 WA is designed to accommodate both weekend cruising and serious fishing. This particular gem was never fished and she spent most of her life out of the sun in indoor rack storage. “UNITY” presents in true bristol condition having been maintained since new with a true open checkbook by its fastidious two owners.

The centerline console is located well aft in the open cockpit area to make room for a large L-shaped settee forward of the helm completely sheltered under roof and behind a new 3-sided EZ2CY custom enclosure. Aft of the console at the transom is a removable full beam bench seat. At the console, two custom fully adjustable STIDD helm seats are installed. The cabin’s interior includes a starboard side compact galley, a spacious sofa to port, and an enclosed head with separate stall shower. Forward of the galley and the sofa is a large V-Berth in the bow. With 6’2″ of headroom below, the cabin feels much larger than is customary for a 38 foot boat. The helm layout is perfect and the bow rail and the supports for the large camper top are all powder coated for ease of maintenance.

In May of 2017, Unity’s owner spent in excess of $120,000.00 installing new triple 2017 MERCURY Verado 350 hp. engines with custom 4 blade stainless steel props. The engine’s cowlings and chaps were custom painted and custom graphics were designed and applied to the engine’s cowlings. The engines have just 65 hours to date and the engines are covered by MERCURY’s five-year Platinum Extended Warranties until May of 2022 During the re-power, the generator and sound shield was rebuilt and it has only 500 original hours. The A/C system was also replaced as was the windlass and the mascerator pump for the head.

During the May 2017 refit, a GARMIN 7612 MED was added to the helm. In June of 2018, a second GARMIN 7616 MFD was added to the helm along with a GARMIN GHC 20 autopilot and GARMIN’s new Doppler Effect state of the art open array “Fantom” radar.

In 2016, the existing low- profile windscreen was removed from the boat and a new three-sided clear removable enclosure was built that attaches directly to the deck greatly enhancing visibility from the helm and making for a much cleaner and sleeker looking enclosure.

It is important to note that “UNITY” is truly one of a kind. She presents in totally original Bristol condition. The boat has the popular factory installed dive door which is rare for this model. The beautiful light blue hull sides are original and flawless as is the new white rub rail. The powder coating on all of the pipes is perfect, once gain reflecting the meticulous maintenance that this boat has enjoyed since new. In the spring of 2018, the entire boat was waxed, the bottom paint renewed, and a 100-hour service was done on all three engines and the generator.

With the addition of the 350 hp. Verados, “UNITY” out performs all other Intrepid 377’s!! Light cruise is 40 mph at 4,200 rpm’s, mid cruise is 43 mph at 4,500 rpm’s, and top speed is 60 mph at 6,000 rpm’s. Fuel economy is an exceptional at better than one mile per gallon at cruise.
