DEADRISE DESIGNS

We offer you the skills and experience needed to transform your vision into a concept design, and then to a full scale production model package complete with an assembly manual.  A stepped process from understanding an idea, to the finished delivered conception.

Immersive experience is the future at DEADRISE DESIGNS. We are working together with Virtalis (a world leader in VR systems) to find Virtual Reality solutions for the boat and yacht industry. We will be able to bring clients both near and far into the virtual space where they can experience their vision 1:1.

Working with the best boat manufacturing companies has shaped the DEADRISE DESIGNS quest for functionality and design.  Custom and production models of DEADRISE DESIGNS can be see in ADRENALIZER, DEEP IMPACT, CONTENDER, SEA-VEE, AQUASCAN to mention a few.  The companies worked with can say a lot about the excellent service provided to them. From owners manuals, Artist Renderings, Structural Plans, Tankage Designs, Interior Designs, Mold Inserts, FRP Laminitate Schedules, Bill of Materials, to Complete Production Boat Designs.

ARTIST VISUALIZATION

This is the first step in the design process.

The concept or inspiration for an idea is broken down into specific details that support the whole idea in the most effective way. Using visual language, an artist can manipulate the viewer’s experience with the artwork.  We visualize objects in our brains in a 3D world similar to the sophisticated 3D modeling programs that we use. Which is why these hand sketches are key to the design process they lay the foundation for an effective understading of the clients idea and provides better communication.

TECHNICAL & ENGINEERING.DWG’S

2 Dimensional Line Drawings representing the Visualized Idea.  At this stage drawings become digitized and calculations are started.  After the Artist Visualization stage is complete then we are ready to start creating on a digital AutoCAD format. At this stage lots of planning and calculations occur and can be the most time consuming of all the stages of the project.  Inboard or Outboard Arrangements and Profiles are drafted to scale, showing major ergonomics and overall dimensions. Weight, Fuel, Water, Speed/Power, and Cargo (estimates). Preliminary Specifications of the Clients design requirements, materials and methods necessary for construction, major equipment items, and system descriptions are required to get an estimated build price.

PRODUCTION 3D MODEL

Finally at this stage we are ready for milling of a production plug, CNC cutting of Jigs, and Product Marketing of 3D Detailed images.    We stress the usefulness of CAD in calculations, in hull lines development, and in the complete design process. These days Rhino is more efficient in creating working drawings with all the extra artistry in presenting the information that the average client and boat builder needs in order to produce an emotional response in the clients and craftsmen.

3 Dimensional Model is now ready for production and final marketing material. At this stage we can determine the total materials cost needed for production of the new model vessel.

This artistry is very important, unlike some other engineering fields with a different mindset, because you are very much dealing with people’s dreams. They want to see the shading and line hatching, islands in the background, maybe clouds in the sky, steaming coffee on a sideboard, books in the bookshelves, etc. Some designers despise all this but we say if you can sell thousands of dollars worth of yachts by putting pillows on the bunks, etc., do it! We have noticed that even in the boat building shop, builders and craftsmen are more confident in, and more enthusiastic about, a beautiful drawing.
