The 38 Top Gun has been the icon of the Cigarette line for over 25 years with good reason – timeless style and perfect performance. Each rendition has been continually refined, challenging the turn of every bolt, the stitch of each seam, the smoothness of its lines–but never straying from its heritage.

From not so humble beginnings under the inspiration, guidance, and overpowering influence of master boat builder Don Aronow, of the Jersey Shore, then later Miami, Florida, where he took his designs to the newest level of speed boating.  The “Cowboy-Days-and-Nights”of Miami” of 1980’s Miami, became immortalized forever in the hit TV show st in  South Florida…. “MIAMI VICE,” where the foundation for the Tubs and Crockett television persona, was the streets, bays and offshore waters, the the late night haunts and dives of the Miami night scene that became known as like no other.  This is the definitive boat as used in the original CIGARETTE advertising from that era like no other in marine history of boats and their rapid design advancement and superiority on the water:

From posh and fashionable Coconut Grove to the emerging money waterfront mansions being built and centered in Boca Raton, became the new shining stars for real estate, restaurants, and fashionable late night party scene envied the world over.  At the helm, was and still is the ever-perfect racing hull design of the CIGARETTE 38 TopGun… nothing like her then, nothing like her now…. a two step gem where power and speed became the level of greatness that commanded the local waterways then the offshore performance setting the bar, and became the new breed of cat on scene then, and still does today….
