SIGNED AND NUMBERED BY ARTIST, STAMPED FOR AUTHENTICITY BY MAGUI ATELIER STUDIO AND SPHYNX FINE ART

This 6-Aluminum Plate Lithograph by Thomas Charles Moxley is from an edition of 250 done in 1984 on Arches 100% cotton fiber rag museum quality paper from master French Atelier Magui. This image explores the fantasy image of a woman in a very seductive pose with the sexy suggestion of the bird neck being the sexual fantasy of a man; with subtle hints of bondage with thigh high boots and wristbands, hands on her hips, the nude portrayal of the cheeks of a woman’s “behind” wrapped around the image of the “long” swan neck within her…limitless fantasy. Use your imagination, and you will get what is this extremely sexy image is all about.  The original is in private collection, original done by Taos, New Mexico, artist Thom Moxley, recently in 2007 moved to Santa Fe, New Mexico where he runs a fine art painting studio.

This magical piece painted in 1974, exhibited in the San Francisco Bay Area, as part of the San Francisco Visionary Painters Exhibition running from May 5, 1984 to September 10, 1985 at the San Jose Museum of Art. Thomas is best known for his figurative mixed media paintings. He delights in adding unexpected geometric and sometimes complex figurative forms that often remain hidden from the viewer at first glance, evoking drama at every brushstroke. The artist is at ease playing the jester in hopes the careful eye will find amusing and captivating rewards upon further inspection of his work. Winged creatures are among Thomas’ personal favorites and often remain in his private collection. This is one that made it out to a private collector, and this image is available to you, once these remaining graphics of this edition are gone, there are no more, the plates have been destroyed.
